Steps to Complete Your Screening

Register in the CHAI system

Create or update your clearinghouse profile. Your employer, agency, or program should confirm your fingerprinting requirement.

Schedule your appointment

Print your pre-populated Live Scan Request form from CHAI or have it available on your phone at the time of your appointment. We will issue you a TCN (Transaction Control Number) at the time of your appointment. Be sure to keep it in a safe place

Fingerprinting Session

We’ll electronically capture and submit your fingerprints. Your fingerprints will be processed and forwarded to the requesting agency.

Track Your Submission

Enter your TCN at the FDLE TCN Lookup to monitor your results.
